The purpose of this site is to convey to others the wonders of the universe around us. One lifetime is too short to encapsulate it all. As I was growing up I found endless fascination reading encyclopedias, often paging through a single volume for hours. Even an unabridged dictionary would occupy me for hours as I followed a thread of words until I understood every word in the definition or another word would catch my eye and the chase would take off in another direction.
Growing up in the age of computers opens up another whole universe. If you can't understand the Wikipedia entry or you need to verify the contents, endless sites from around the world are available to elaborate, contradict, simplify, or explain it in different terms. How exciting!
As I read about topics that interest me, I will add these topics to the blog, invite readers to comment or ask questions, and open up threads that I hope will enrich us all.
